With these features, we had to do a card sort activity with one potential user. The platform we have used is Optimal Workshop.

card sort results:

After we each completed our card sorting, we did a review on our results to better understand our potential users, then proceeded with completing our information architecture.

With our information architecture completed, we did our user flow together

After, we had a look online for some design inspiration
here is mine, I went for a more simple minimalistic approach, as I figured it would attract more people to use our application. I also really like the calendar design as well as the reminder feature.

- no need do all, just the main user flow

Design guideline:

After a group discussion, we have all agreed on the following style guideline

Then, we came up with 4 different user flows to complete for our lofi prototype.
I was in charge of the:

Onboarding & Profile Setup
  1. Register/Login: User opens the app and completes the registration or login process.
  2. Preference Settings: User sets initial activity preferences.
  3. Home Screen: User is directed to the home screen.
  4. Avatar Creation (Optional): User customizes their avatar.

I will briefly talk about the flow of my lofi prototype. First, users will be greeted with the login page where they can choose to either sign in with email or social media. After, they will be asked to fill in their details and then get a confirmation code. Next, they will be directed to our home screen, where an AI assistant will be present. Then, after clicking the "my account" icon in the bottom navigation bar, the icon will float up

After, users will click on "user profile" in order to change their avatar.

Logo:
I also designed the logo of MeetMatch

final logo

We started off with the letter M, which is the initial of our application (MeetMatch). We went for a cute mascot design to make it look like our app is more approachable. The icon in the middle will also be our mascot for MeetMatch.

REFLECTION

The past two weeks have been really intense, but also very rewarding. We had to complete so many things in such a short time, and at times, it felt overwhelming. From brainstorming features, doing card sorting, and building our information architecture to designing user flows and starting on the lo-fi prototype, everything moved so fast.

One of the biggest challenges was organizing all the ideas and making sure the app stayed simple and user-friendly. There were so many features we wanted to add, but we had to carefully pick the ones that actually made sense for our users. The card sorting and user flow were especially tricky because we had to think from a user’s perspective, not just our own.

Designing the logo was another big step. We wanted something fun and inviting, and after a lot of drafts, we finally settled on a mascot-style logo that fits the vibe of our app. I also worked on the lo-fi prototype for onboarding and profile setup, which took longer than expected since I had to ensure it was smooth and easy to understand.

Even though it was exhausting, I feel like I’ve learned so much about UI/UX design, teamwork, and problem-solving. There were moments when things got frustrating, but in the end, seeing everything come together was really satisfying.
